PURPOSE: A security apparatus by using fingerprints and a method for the same are provided to take the fingerprints of a visitor and store them under the state that a door is not opened, prevent a car from being robbed by taking the fingerprints of a car user, and identify a user before he/she uses a cash dispenser by taking the fingerprints of the user. CONSTITUTION: A fingerprint recognition sensor senses the fingerprints of the user. A video process device converts the fingerprints sensed by the fingerprint recognition sensor to a code, and then processes the code as a video. A storage device stores the fingerprints processed by the video process device. A fingerprint storage displayer informs the user that the fingerprints are stored in the storage device. A CPU controls the fingerprint recognition sensor, the video process device, the storage device and the fingerprint storage displayer.
