<p>A surface fastener comprising: a substrate sheet (11, 11', 110); a multiplicity of engaging elements (12, 12', 120) projecting from one surface of the substrate sheet (11, 11', 110); and an elastic member (13) laying over the one surface of the substrate sheet (11, 11', 110). The elastic member (13) has an upper surface normally in contact with lower ends of locking portions (12a, 12a', 120a) of the engaging elements (12, 12', 120) so as to support circumferential surfaces of stem portions (12, 12b', 120b) of the engaging elements (12, 12', 120). The upper surface of the surface fastener is therefore less rough so that waste pieces of yarn and nap cannot be caught by the locking portions (12a, 12a', 120a). <IMAGE></p> |
