PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress production of unintended emission by analyzing a display signal processed for scanning beam velocity modulation. SOLUTION: Analyzing a display signal processed for the scanning beam velocity modulation suppresses production of the unintended emission. A device for the scanning beam velocity modulation is provided with a scanning velocity modulation signal processing unit (20) to generate a scanning velocity modulation deflection signal (I) in response to a scanning velocity modulation signal (SVM 1). A generating means (50) supplies a feedforward signal (Ve) to the processing unit (20) to suppress amplitude of the scanning velocity modulation deflection signal (I) in response to a component (InF) of the scanning velocity modulation signal (SVM1).
