PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a viewing person to surely recognize display contents by distinctly indicating the contours of a display form even when the display device is used as a signal light in a place of right surroundings, such as in the daytime. SOLUTION: Plane type solid-state display elements which are light emitting sources 3 of different wavelengths, such as LED elements and EL elements, are segmented by color coding and are exhibited and arranged on a wiring board 2 so as to indicate the contours of the prescribed display form. A partition member 4 is arranged to partition a boundary P of the different colors lighted and displayed by these light emitting sources 3 and the light rays of the different colors emitted from the light emitting sources 3 are shielded from each other. The light emitting sources 3 and the partition member 4 are capped by a translucent cap member 5. The partition member 4 is fixed on one end edge side to the wiring board 2 side in the state of detaching at an arbitrary spacing from the translucent cap member 5 for capping the same and is mounted by orienting the other end edge side to a state of slightly inclining toward the light emitting sources 3 enclosed by the same, by which a light reflection member for reflecting or randomly reflecting the light from the light emitting sources 3 enclosed by the partition member is obtained.
