PURPOSE: A wireless telephone having a data communication function is provided to perform wireless data communication of an outer terminal by using a handset of the wireless telephone. CONSTITUTION: A telephone line connection port(11) connects a base set(10) with a telephone line. An interface circuit(12) performs an interface function of entire communication signals transceived between the telephone line and the base set(10). A network circuit(13) amplifies a signal transceived between the interface circuit(12) and an RF(Radio Frequency) transceiver(14) as a determined level, and turns on/off a communication loop. The RF transceiver(14) wirelessly connects the network circuit(13) with a handset(20), and wirelessly transceives data and voices. A microcomputer(16) controls the network circuit(13) to turn on/off the communication loop, and inputs a telephone number/communication connection number to a DTMF(Dual Tone Multi Frequency) generator(17). The DTMF generator(17) generates a DTMF signal to transmit the DTMF signal to the telephone line. An RF transceiver(22) wirelessly transceives a voice signal between the base set(10) and a voice processor(23), and wirelessly transceives a data signal between the base set(10) and an outer terminal(30). The voice processor(23) converts the voice signal into an analog signal, and converts the analog signal into a digital signal. The voice processor(23) intercepts a voice signal transceiving to mute the voice signal. A speaker(24) outputs a receiving voice signal as an audible sound. A microphone(25) converts a transmitting voice signal as an electrical signal for inputting to the voice processor(23). A keypad(26) inputs a key signal to the microcomputer(27). A communication port(28) connects the RF transceiver(22) and the microcomputer(26) with the outer terminal(30).
