PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crushing device which prevents a screen from being clogged due to the entanglement of a plastic film, a wet paper, a cord and the like, in openings formed in the screen for allowing passage of only crushed materials of a specified size or less. SOLUTION: This crushing device has a rotor 10, a rotary blade 13 mounted around the outer peripheral face of the rotor 10 and a fixed blade 16 for crushing by a shearing action with the rotary blade 13 all installed in a crushing chamber 2. In addition, a screen 19 with the openings 21 is arranged in the rotating direction of the rotor 10 from the fixed blade 16, so that only the crushed materials of a specified size or less are discharged to the outside of the crushing chamber 2. Further, the screen 19 is constituted of a plurality of frames 20, extending in the peripheral direction of the rotor 10, which are fitted side by side and spaced from each other in the axial direction of the rotor 10, and the interval between the frames 20 serves as the opening 21.
