PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiring method for a magnetic head assembly which is satisfactory in operability and free of detects in connection, and the magnetic head assembly, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: A connection part 40 of an external-side FPC substrate 4 connected to a control circuit 6 provided outside the magnetic head assembly 100 and connection terminal parts 30a to 30d of arm-side FPC substrates 3a to 3d connected to magnetic heads 2a to 2d are stacked one over the other across an anisotropic conductive tape 5 which has anisotropic conductivity along the thickness direction. The connection part 40 and connection terminal parts 30a to 30d are pressed, while the anisotropic conductive tape 5 is heated to, for example, 150 deg.C and then the anisotropic conductive tape 5 is hardened to connect the connection part 40 and connection terminal parts 30a to 30d together. The anisotropic conductive tape 5 has anisotropic conductivity, showing conductivity only along the thickness, so that even if plural wires are formed at the connection part 40 and connection terminal parts 30a to 30d, adjacent wires will not be electrically connected to each other.
