PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piston cylinder unit capable of achieving the stepless adjustment of a stroke and requiring no expensive valve device for a desired function. SOLUTION: In a variable stroke piston cylinder unit 1 is provided with a cylinder 3 in which a piston rod 5 including a piston 7 is axially movably provided. The piston rod 5 is actively connected to a contact device 7, a cylinder is actively connected to a corresponding contact device 27, and the position of at least one contact device of both contact devices 7, 27 is axially displaced with respect to piston rod cylinders 5, 3 as structure groups which are actively related to each other. |
