PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a waste in transmitting line data, constitute an apparatus of a minimum number of buffer parts, simplify the apparatus in constitution and reduce manufacture costs by efficiently handling overlapping line data. SOLUTION: The apparatus has an image-forming part 35 for forming the whole of an image with the use of a plurality of dot array-forming mechanisms 34A and 34B, a plurality of image quality-controlling parts 31A and 31B set corresponding to the plurality of dot array-forming mechanisms 34A and 34B for controlling a form state of the image by the image-forming part 35, and a predetermined number of line data buffers 32-1 to 32-5 capable of storing by every line line data transmitted as image data from an image formation requester 1 to temporarily hold the image data from the image formation requester 1. The apparatus further includes a buffer part 30 used in common by the plurality of the image quality-controlling parts 31A and 31B, and a control part 36 for controlling to execute a data storage operation and a data read operation concurrently.
