PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera device which properly displays a through picture to EVF at the time of a continuous photographing mode and can improve consecutive photographing operability. SOLUTION: An electronic camera having a continuous photographing mode function and an EVF function is displayed. The consecutive photographing control part 32 of a system controller 3 moves to a consecutive photographing mode in accordance with the operation of a release key 40 and controls the through picture display of EFV 7, which follows the type of a consecutive photographing mode that is set by a mode change-over switch 41. At a high speed consecutive photographing mode, the through picture display of EVF 7 is stopped. At a moving picture insertion mode, the through picture display of EVF 7 is executed while a still picture is photographed.
