PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clearly discriminate a power saving condition from a trouble caused by a failure and the like to inform a user of the power saving condition, in an electronic time piece provided with an electric power saving function such as stopping of painters. SOLUTION: A usual display condition for displaying all the time information by hour, minute and second pointers and the power saving condition driven to overlap the second pointer on the minute pointer are constituted to be switched. The minute pointer is operated one minute by one minute in the power saving condition, and a pointer-operation angle for the second pointer is made to be 1/n (n: positive integer) of that in the usual display. The switching to second information by the hour or minute pointer is also conducted by an operation in an outside.
