PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a managing system for the protection and temporary erasure of digital information for dealing with plural kinds of still picture information. SOLUTION: Prescribed control information (RTR-VMG) and programs (PG#2 and other) more than one containing groups (VOG#B, VOG#E and VOG#F) of a video object composed of still pictures (B1-B80, B81-B99 and B100-B162) more than one can be recorded on an information storage medium to be used for this managing system. Inside the said RTR-VMG, reloadable protect information is stored for inhibiting the erasure of the program (PG#2) for the unit of the program. Otherwise, inside the said RTR-VMG, reloadable temporary erasure information (TE) is stored for setting the group (VOG#C and VOG#F) of the video object into temporary erasing state for a unit containing the groups of the video object.
