发明名称 PARTICULATE TRAP FOR DIESEL ENGINE
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a particulate trap with the ability of retaining a larger quantity of catalyst per volume, bigger heat conductivity, and easy regeneration of catalyst by installing a catalyst converter which retains oxidation catalyst on the surface of framework of three dimensional structure of porous metal with specific mean diameter of pores therein, on the upper stream of particulate trapping filter. SOLUTION: The particulate trap 1 is so constructed that the case 2 stores cylindrical catalyst converter 3 and filter 4 with a bigger diameter than that of catalyst converter. The converter 3 is a three dimensional structure of porous metal, the material of which is Ni-Cr-Al alloy formed by alloying treatment and the mean diameter of pores therein is between 500 μm and 2000 μm. Base layer of alumina as the main component is formed on the framework of three dimensional structure of porous metal and oxidation catalyst of platinum as a main component is coated thereon. Percentage of void of this catalyst converter is settled as more than 90% and less than 98%.
