PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microwave resonator for accurately analyzing the density and moisture of a material with high resolution, and equipment using the resonator. SOLUTION: The microwave resonator is connected to equipment for measuring the profile of density and/or moisture in the longitudinal direction of a sample. The resonator is provided with a through hole 3 at right angle to a region where the resonator is provided, the through hole 3 is in contact with a metal wall surface 4 being extended in the longitudinal direction in terms of a boundary, the inside 1 of the resonator is essentially flat, the thickness is much smaller than a crosswise dimension for forming a right angle, and the inside of the resonator is filled with a dielectric.
