PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convenient vertically movable storage device set convening for moving articles in and out because of the short traveling distance from a storage rack to a storage part, such as a rack, and vice versa. SOLUTION: At the most lowered position of the storage rack 2, the bottom face 11 of the storage rack 2 can be lowered more than does the storage part 5 such as a rack installed beneath a cabinet 1. The distance from the storage part 5 to the storage rack 2 can thus be reduced, and when a stored article 30 is transferred from the storage rack 2 to the storage part 5 such as a rack or vice versa, for example, the traveling distance is so small that the article 30 can be easily and quickly moved, whereby a convenient vertically movable storage device convenient for moving articles in and out can be provided.
