PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold set holes on pivot shafts in self-aligning state without damaging the set holes even when the set holes for a barrel windup drum are formed in various sizes. SOLUTION: This supporting device is formed so that pivot shafts 7 and 22 are installed rotatably on a fixed table 5 and a movable table 19, respectively. Also, a screw cylinder is threaded to the pivot shafts 7 and 22 on the outer peripheral side of the pivot shafts 7 and 22, and tapered cylinders 11 and 26 are close-inserted slidably into the screw cylinder. Then, the tapered cylinders 11 and 26 are fitted elastically to the set holes 3 with energizing springs 12 and 27, and the pivot shafts 7 and 22 are self-aligned relative to the set holes 3 by the tapered cylinders 11 and 26. In addition, a barrel windup drum 1 is held against the pivot shafts 7 and 22 unrotatably by drum holding devices 14 and 29 comprising rotating plates 15 and 30 and stop pins 16 and 31.
