PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating fluid for the charge generating layer superior in productivity and coatability and long in coating fluid life and high in sensitivity and to provide a electrophotographic photoreceptor formed by using it. SOLUTION: The charge generating layer of the electrophotographic photoreceptor is obtained by dispersing a phthalocyanine composition into an organic solvent and applying it, and this phthalocyanine has at least 2 main diffraction peaks in 24.0 deg. and 27.2 deg. in Bragg (2θ±0.2 deg.) angles in the X-ray diffraction spectra using CuKα, and the organic solvents to be used for the charge generating layer of the electrophotographic photoreceptor is a mixture of at least 2 kinds of solvents of that having no hydrogen bond and that of capable of forming the hydrogen bond.
