SOLUTION: A retrying level control part 10 obtains operation state information on magnetic disks 80 to 82 from an operation state control part 41 through an operation state control line 11, does not change the number of retrying times at the time of a normal state, increases the number of retrying times at the time of a degeneration state and holds the number of retrying times at the time of the degeneration state in a restoration state. When a restoration processing is normally terminated at the time of the restoration state, the number of retrying times is reduced.
