PURPOSE: Provided are a novel attenuated Culex pipiens virus strain and a preparation method of a vaccine containing the strain, thereby mass producing the vaccine, cutting its production cost off and simplifying its immune schedule. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of: separating Culex pipiens virus strain SA14 from the larva of Culex pipiens and followed by subculturing and attenuating it; obtaining a novel Culex pipiens virus strain SA14-14-2 (KCTC 0316BP); and producing a novel vaccine for the Japanese encephalitis containing the above new Culex pipiens virus strain SA14-14-2.
