The invention concerns a multiple speed transmission chain with great ratio variation and close gear stepping, whereof the gear ratios are obtained by combinations of two complete and separate multiple-ratio chain transmissions. Said transmissions arranged parallel, being active permanently or by turns, without requiring therefor that one chain shifts from one drive chainwheel to another.
