PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a stain, an image dirt, and scratch to a fixation rotary body, even in the case of performing the fixation processing over the long period. SOLUTION: In order to appropriately apply a releasing agent on fixation rotary body pair 2 by releasing agent applying means 3 applying in transferring the releasing agent 1 toward a contact part with regard to the fixation rotary body 2a, releasing agent feeding means 13 feeding the releasing agent 1 on the releasing agent applying means 3 in a position on the upstream side the fixation rotary body 2a and releasing agent quantity controlling means 4 controlling the quantity of the releasing agent 1 on the releasing agent applying means 3 transferred to the fixation rotary body 2a side, this fixing device is let applying in changing viscosity of the releasing agent 1 fed from the releasing agent from the releasing agent feeding means 13 onto the releasing agent applying means 3, in accordance with the fixation operating state by releasing agent viscosity changing means 14. |
