PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a primary radiator that can be used in common for a linearly polarized wave and a circularly polarized wave. SOLUTION: A circular waveguide 2 is provided with probes 4, 5 that respectively coupler with a horizontally polarized wave component and a vertically polarized wave component of a linearly polarized wave introduced in the circular waveguide 2. Furthermore, this circular waveguide 2 is also provided with probes 6, 7 that respectively couple with a horizontally polarized wave component and a vertically polarized wave component of a circularly polarized wave introduced in the circular waveguide 2. Moreover, the probes 4, 5 are connected to filters 44, 45, which pass through a prescribed frequency band of the linearly polarized wave. The probes 6, 7 are connected to filters 46, 47, which pass through a prescribed frequency band of the circularly polarized wave. A 90-degree hybrid 8 is connected to the filters 46, 47 to put together the horizontally polarized wave component and the vertically polarized wave component of the circularly polarized wave passing through the filters 46, 47.
