PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive dielectric resonator with an excellent characteristic where reduction in the no load Q can be suppressed, which is easily formed and stably mounted and to provide a filter using it, a duplexer, an oscillator and a communication equipment. SOLUTION: A resonator section 11, a support base section 12 of the dielectric resonator are formed integrally with the same dielectric material to configure the dielectric resonator, the outer diameter of the support base section 12 is formed the same as the outer diameter of the resonator section 11, and a recessed part 13 whose cross section is trapezoidal is provided in the support base section 12 while its inner diameter is gradually decreased from an end face being a mount face toward the resonator section 11 in a way that the outer circumferential part of the support base section 12 is left to be a ring.
