PURPOSE: A process for producing a composite material, and for producing a composite material molding are provided to reduce a fraction defective of molding working by improving composite plate materials in quality and to increase a mass productivity of the composite materials. CONSTITUTION: The process for producing the composite material comprises the step of cladding a magnetic metal plate(1) and an aluminum or aluminum alloy plate(2) by an axial hot pressing. The magnetic metal plate comprises iron or stainless steel. The process for producing the composite material molding comprises the steps of: forming the composite plate materials by cladding a magnetic metal plate and an aluminum or aluminum alloy plate by an axial hot pressing; and press molding and/or stamping and cutting the composite plate materials.
