PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent image output of an output prohibited image without applying large alteration to a system in an image forming apparatus having an output head. SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus, paper 30 is fed by the rotation of a pair of feed rollers 21a, 21b. A feed motor 22 is reversibly rotatable and can move paper so as to allow the same to retreat in a reverse direction. In usual printing, paper is fed and a printing head 24 is reciprocally moved to form an image on the paper. An image recognizing part 18 judges whether the formed image is an output prohibited image and, in the case of the prohibited image, the motor is reversed to allow the paper to retreat and the printing head outputs a predetermined color to apply printing to the paper. By this constitution, the already printed output prohibited image can be painted out by the predetermined color. Output prohibiting function is provided to the printing head and only the motor is made reversibly rotatable to make it almost unnecessary to alter fundamental printing algorithm in a normal state. |
