PRODUCTION OF POLYAMIDE RESIN AQUEOUS DISPERSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily, inexpensively and safely producing, without using any organic solvent, the subject dispersion with minute particle size and high stability when left at rest. SOLUTION: This method for producing a polyamide resin aqueous dispersion is characterized by dispersing a polyamide resin with the molar ratio of the terminal carboxyl group to terminal amino group being (60:40) to (100:0) in an aqueous dispersion medium containing a basic substance at a rate of 0.2-3 mol per mol of the terminal carboxyl group. By this method, the objective polyamide resin aqueous dispersion containing the polyamide resin with a weight-average particle size of 0.1-10μm is obtained.
