A foamed polymer composition product comprises a structural support member (32) and a foamed extrusion (30) that encapsulates the structural support member. A process for producing a foamed polymer composition product including a structural support member involves providing a structural support member and a foamable polymer composition to a die. The structural support member is passed through and out of the die while extruding the foamable polymer composition through the die and around at least a portion of the structural support member to form an extrudate comprising the structural support member. The extrudate is then cooled and cut.
