PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high performance sleeve roll for rolling provided together with wear resistance, surface roughening resistance and toughness. SOLUTION: This sleeve roll is produced as the following method, with which after casting molten metal contained of 1.0-3.5% C, 4.5-10.0% V, 3.0-10.0% Cr, 0.2-2.0% Si, 0.2-2.0% Mn and 2-15% Mo and/or W and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities into a cylindrical hollow blank with a centrifugal casting method, this blank is formed into a prescribed shape with a hot-forging method.
