PURPOSE: A removal equipment for scum in sewage and wastewater is provided, which discharges treated water through many fine capillary tubes which float on the water surface of a water reservoir by buoyance force and so can increase removal efficiency of scum. The system can float without any power supply, improve treated water quality by using capillary tubes of very small diameter and save back wash time due to flexibility of fiber thread composing the capillary tubes. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises the followings: (i) a water reservoir (1) of a cube type that has four sub cubes and four vertical posts (4) at the corners of every sub cubes; (ii) a horizontal scum removal equipment (20) that is movably assembled to the vertical posts (4) by upper floating members (8) and rear floating members (7), to float between an upper stopper and a center stopper (5a) set on the vertical posts (4), the under floating members having front floating member and rear floating member (7); and (iii) capillary over flow inducing tubes (11) in a 'M' shape, the center of 'M' being 'V' or 'U' form, which are hung on the upper floating members (8) tightly by hanger weights (13) fixed at the two bottom ends of 'M' and pressing devices (14) set on the center of 'M', the bottom trough part of capillary over flow inducing tubes being installed consistently with treated water inlet holes (9).
