PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure that a high welding strength is obtained and a joint after welding is hardly contaminated by forming a coat of a polyolefin resin with a high welding strength in the longitudinal direction of a core material on the outer periphery of the core material consisting of the polyolefin resin which is highly resistant to contamination. SOLUTION: The welding rod 1 comprises a core material 2 consisting of a highly contamination-resistant polyolefin and a coat 3 of a polyolefin resin having a high welding strength in the longitudinal direction of the core material 2 formed on the entire periphery of the core material 2. For the polyolefin resin used for forming the core material 2, an ethylene.polyvinyl chloride copolymer alone or a mixture of this copolymer is used. For the polyolefin resin used for forming the coat 3, a maleic anhydride-grafted ethylene or an ethylene.acrylate.maleic anhydride terpolymer alone or a mixture of the former ethylene or the terpolymer is used. Thus there is no fear about the peeling of a joint part due to the use of the welding rod. In addition, the flooring of a polyolefin is made to appear highly presentable at the joint part from a viewpoint of design without impairing it. |
