PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle door handle device having a simple structure and improving temporary holding force of a key cylinder. SOLUTION: This vehicle door handle device is so constituted that a handle main body is connected to a handle case 5 holding a key cylinder 3 projecting a fixing tongue piece 2 to a door panel from a cylinder case 3a and an end cover 4 provided between the key cylinder 3 and the door panel. A locking leg 8 coming into contact with a movement controlling projection 7 projecting the rear from the handle case 5 and prohibited from falling down to the rear side is provided to the end cover 4, at the same time, an elastic locking section 9 projected to the surface side of the handle case 5 is provided to the front end of the locking leg 8, the key cylinder 3 is elastically engaged with the elastic locking section 9 and, at the same time, the vehicle door handle device is so constituted that the fixing tongue piece is held by a cover piece 10 extended from the end cover 4 and is temporarily held by the handle case 5.
