PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of the assembling processes of the resin outflow preventing member of a resin housing part and the water passing member of a salt water tank in the production of a water softener. SOLUTION: In a method for producing a water softener by bonding a plurality of split members to constitute a resin housing part 6, a raw water tank part 7 and a salt water tank part 8 in one container, resin outflow preventing members 9, 10 are provided to both bonding parts of the resin housing part 6 while a water permeable member 12 is provided to the bonding part of the salt water tank part at a time of bonding. The bonding surfaces of the split members are bonded under heating and pressure.
