PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording method and recorder capable of forming recording marks which allow the stable transfer of continuous recording information to a reproducing layer. SOLUTION: One of binary information of 1 bit is allocated to a magnetic domain pattern 223 composed of a combination of recording magnetic domains 221 and magnetic domains 222 having the magnetization of the direction opposite to the direction of the recording magnetic domains 221, and the other of the binary information of 1 bit is allocated to the magnetic domain pattern 224 composed of the two magnetic domains having the magnetization of the same direction as the direction of the magnetic domains 222. As a result, the continuous recording information 225 of >=2 bits is formed as a continuation of the magnetic domain pattern with the combination of the recording magnetic domain and the magnetic domain having the magnetization of the direction reverse from the recording information as one recording information unit on the recording layer. A uniform leakage magnetic field is obtained regardless of positions from the magnetic domain pattern and the stable transfer of the information to the reproducing layer is made possible regardless of the continuous recording information.
