PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper holder in which it is possible to set an ordinary commercially available roll paper entirely regardless of the size of the diameter of its main shaft, the direction of rolling of paper, or the like, and to perform removal, attaching, and cutting by one hand. SOLUTION: This paper holder is provided with the function of crimping paper by a crimping rotating plate 5 with both end shafts supported by crimping rotating plate bearings 8 at the tip of a lid 2 connected with a fixing long hole to a lid part shaft 3 at the upper end part of a holder body 1, the lid fixing pin 7 of the holder body 1, and a tip crimping stopper. The paper holder is provided with a hook 4 for opening and closing the lid 2 at the time of removing and attaching a roll paper and a rotation stopper 6 to prevent the crimping rotating plate 5 from rotating more than necessarily at the time of opening and closing the lid 2.
