PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas compressor to reduce weight without the occurrence of worsening of deformation and controllability. SOLUTION: This gas compressor comprises a rotor rotatably arranged in a cylinder chamber the inner periphery of which is formed in an oval cylindrical shape; a vane mounted movably forward and backward in a vane groove arranged in the rotor; a control plate to control a volume of gas sucked in the cylinder chamber through rotation of the rotor; and a drive piston to rotationally drive the control plate, the gas compressor compressing gas. In this case, a plate driving means comprises a recessed part 22a at which a drive pin 20 arranged at a control plate 12 is slidably locked; a pin fit part 22 formed of a high rigidity material; and a control pressure holding part 23 mounted in a state to be coupled to the pin fit part 22 and formed of a light material.
