PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make easily confirmable the musical harmony between phrases to be regenerated by a waveform regenerating device with the test sound generation by controlling the regeneration of waveform so as to be started from a test sound generation starting position expressed by the positional data in response to the command for test sound generation. SOLUTION: When it is commanded to perform a test sound generation by a test sound generating operator (S11), start of the test sound generation is commanded to a musical sound generating means of a DSP (S12). With this command, the musical sound generating means generates the sound on the basis of the waveform data stored in a set register and a waveform RAM. On the other hand, when the test sound generation operator is stopped (S13), stop of the sound generation is commanded to the musical sound generating means (S14). Thereby, the musical sound generating means stops the sound generation based on the waveform data. Since a loop starting address is set as a regeneration starting point of the rest sound generation at the time of test sound generation with each musical sound generating means, a test sound generating is started from the loop starting address. |
