PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a DC error at every pixel, which is caused because the operations of correcting circuits for correcting the white balance of an amplitude in plural color light signals which are obtained from a two-dimensional solid- state image pickup element become respectively different at every output signal corresponding to the plural color lights. SOLUTION: The plural color light signals outputted from the color solid-state image pickup element 1 having a color filter array are corrected in white balance at every pixel for each color light through the use of n white balance correcting circuits 3-5 and, then, supplied to a correlative duplex sampling circuit 7 for removing the noise of the output signals of the element 1. The circuit 7 obtains a difference between reference potential in a signal whose white balance is corrected with signal potential, removes the DC error at every pixel and also removes noise.
