The display unit consists of a housing made from lower (2A) and upper (2B) cylindrical or parallelpiped sections, made from metal or strong plastic, which are opened by means of a motor assembly (4) with power cylinders (4B, 4C) to reveal a middle section (3) fitted with movable display panels (8) or other means of disseminating information. In the deployed position the lower section rests on feet (7), and when retracted wheels (6) on the middle section project beneath the lower section for ease of movement.
