PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a caster comprising a housing built-up with halved components and a built-in bearing mechanism. SOLUTION: A caster comprises a fixing shaft 2, a housing H having a bearing portion 3 to mount the fixing shaft 2 and a yoke portion 4 integrally formed with the bearing portion 3, and a wheel 6 bearing supported on the yoke portion 4. The housing H comprises split components H1, H2, shaped substantially symmetrical, which split the housing H into right and left portions, and a fixing means 10 such as a cap to fix the pair of the split components H1, H2 into a single body. The split components H1, H2 are provided with raceways split into left and right portions to mount a base portion of the fixing shaft 2 on a thrust bearing at its upper portion and a split yoke portion 9 split into left and right portions at its lower portion.
