ANTIBACTERIAL SYNTHETIC STONE COMPOSITION AND PREPARATION THEREOF

PURPOSE: Antibacterial synthetic stone is provided which has improved machanical hardness and physical property two times more than a natural stone and has excellent antibacterial activity. CONSTITUTION: A synthetic stone composition comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. of a thermosetting unsaturated polyether resin being 1-4 poise of coefficient of viscosity at room temperature; (B) 200-600 pts.wt. of a crused natural stone; (C) 300-700 pts.wt. of an inorganic filler; (D) 0.1-2 pts.wt. of an inorganic antibacterial agent; (E) a high-temperature hardening catalyst and 0.05-3 pts.wt of a cobalt-based activator; (F) 0.1-3 pts.wt. of a silane-based coupling agent; and (G) at least 10 pts.wt. of pigment. The composition is obtained by a process containing the steps of: independently mixing liquid materials and solid materials for 10-20 min.; pouring the mixed liquid on the mixed solid to mix for 3-20 min.; pressure forming the mixture under 20mbar and 40-90Hz of vibration; high frequency induction hardening to 60-140°C; and abrading surface of the hardened mold.
