Apparatus for separating perforated tubular web sections

The initial draw (14) and tear-off (12) units have opposite facing rollers (18) on both sides of the length of tubing being cut and over which run continuous conveyor belts (24,26,28,30). The tear-off unit incorporates pivot arms (60,62) in which the rollers are mounted. The arms are pivot mounted on pivot axles (64,66) which face each other in the direction of travel of the tubing so that the pivot arms can be swivelled into the opposite direction. A draw-bar (68) is positioned on one of the pivot arms over the plane of the tubing. A pressure bar (70) is positioned on one of the pivot arms under the plane of the tubing. The pivot arms are swivelled to and from each on the pivot arms, using a lever (72) and cam disc (76).
