PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape printer having reduced memory consumption and a display section easy to see. SOLUTION: There is disclosed a tape printer wherein plural data blocks B each consisting of a plurality of character strings are stored in a user's memory 15 and at least one block B in the blocks B stored in the user's memory 15 and a cursor K indicating an input position of a character of a keyboard are indicated on a liquid crystal display section 3. A substitution mark of '←'for indicating a block of a character string identically arranged is stored in the user's memory 15, then the substitution mark(s) of '←' is (are) indicated on the liquid crystal display section 3 when a plurality of blocks B of certain character strings are to be repeated. |
