PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the circuit configuration by generating video data by a prescribed frame more than a specified frame number, outputting the data through a plurality of channels of a video means, applying compression coding to the video data, outputting the resulting data and integrating the data to one channel and outputting it. SOLUTION: A data recording and reproducing system 1 uses a video data transmitter 2 to generate video data by a prescribed frame number sequentially along a time base for a prescribed time on the basis of a photographed light by a high speed television camera 3 in the case of data recording. Then the video data are assembled into packets on the basis of an SDI format, 1st packet data are generated sequentially and the generated 1st packet data are transmitted to a data processing section 4 through three channels of three coaxial cables 5-7. The data recording and reproducing system 1 can receive video data outputted from the high speed television camera 3 even when the data are recorded by a video server.
