PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new amino compound useful as a durable charge transfer material or a durable light-emitting material. SOLUTION: An amino compound of formula I [A is a group of formula II (Ar2 is an aryl) or the like; Ar1 is an arylene; (n) is 1-3; R1, R2 are each an alkyl, an aralkyl, an aryl or the like], for example, a compound of formula III. The compound of formula I can be obtained by reacting a halogen compound of formula IV with an amino compound of formula V. For example, the compound of formula III is obtained by reacting p-tolualdehyde with 4'- bromoacetophenone in the presence of boron trifluoride-diethyl ether complex, converting the obtained pyrylium salt into a bromotriphenylpyridine derivative, and further adding and reacting p,p'-ditolylamine, sodium-t-butoxide, palladiumm acetate, and tri-t-butylphosphine with the obtained bromotriphenylpyridine derivative. The compound of formula I is a compound useful as a hole transport material.
