PURPOSE: A processing method of tobacco leaf is provided, to decrease the content of noxious ingredients including nicotine and tar without any change of peculiar perfume and taste of tobacco, to prevent against disease such as the nicotine addiction, that is caused by tobacco and to help heavy smokers quit smoking effectively. CONSTITUTION: The method for processing tobacco leaf comprises the following steps. A first step is to soak 600g of tobacco leaves in the mixture prepared by mixing 5L of water with 10g of yellow soil, 15g of licorice root and 50g of black bean, then boiling them for 6 hours. A second step is to pick up immersed tobacco leaves to air-dry naturally under the shade for 1 day, to spray air-dried tobacco leaves with rice wine which is chosen among alcoholic drinks. A third step is to steam tobacco leaves being covered with rice wine at a steamer for 1 hour, under which is prepared by the mixture of rice wine and water at a ratio of 1: 3 and a little of vinegar and salt. A fourth step is to dry up steamed tobacco leaves for 1 day and to steam them which are added 1-2g of fresh ginseng and rice wine at the steamer again, under which is prepared by the mixture of rice wine and water at a ratio of 1: 3 and a little of vinegar and salt and dry up them again. The more have the number of times of above mentioned processing steps, the more the content of nicotine could be decreased.
