The device stores and keeps at stand-by, sailing charts and harbour plans. It consists of a case (10), to store charts (18), and a plate (16). A chart may be fastened to the plate, and the plate has a fastener device, to fix to a bar or bracket, and/or a flat surface. The fastener is located in the centre of the plate away from the chart. Two edges of the plate are flanged, to retain the chart. The fastener also has a carrier, and the plate is turnable relative to it, against a friction force. The fastener device also has strap, to position around a bar, or a suction cup, to fix to a flat surface.
