The cartridge has a cartridge casing containing at least one electronic unit (3,4) with at least one insulated contact ring (7) in its metal base (6) for contacting the electronic unit and for connection to an electronic evaluation and control arrangement on the weapon side. The outside of the contact ring extends to the corresponding surface of the casing base, which contains a magnetic field sensor (12) connected to a switch (5). The switch connects the electronic unit to the evaluation and control arrangement so that the electronic unit can only be driven with the weapon closure closed.
