PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel that has excellent visibility of the display, when a few figure of the line length is shown on the display, by improving a fishing reel equipped with a display that displays the line length. SOLUTION: In a fishing reel that is equipped with a rotation number detector that detects the rotation number of the spool or a rotor that is operatively connected to the spool, a display 43 that is mounted to the reel main body 9 and the controlling means that calculates the line length based on the detected value from the rotation number detector and displays the line length to the display 43, the display position of the measured line length value is made switchable by the control unit in the maximal displaying area of the displaying machine set to the display 43.
