PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically and efficiently remove a deposit on an internal wall during operation of a gasholder without manpower. SOLUTION: The apparatus for removing a deposit on an internal wall of a gasholder comprises a carriage 12 placed to be capable of traveling in a peripheral direction along a guide rail 11 provided on a piston deck 3, a roller 21 rotatably placed along a vertical direction on an internal wall of the gasholder 1 with a gear 22 coaxially attached, and a rotary member 20 placed coaxially with the roller 21 having a rotary brush 23 which rotates along a vertical direction on the internal wall of the gasholder 1 interlockingly with the roller 21 and being supported by the carriage 12 rotatably. It further includes a gear mechanism 30 interposed between the gear 22 attached to the roller 21 and a gear 15 attached to a wheel shaft 14 of the carriage 12 for transmitting rotation of the rotary member 20 to the wheel shaft 14.
