PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably confirm the action of a gate switch by providing a reporting means reporting the switch action on the gate switch having a contact point closed when car doors reach a prescribed position, and measuring the position of each car door when the reporting means is operated. SOLUTION: A reporting means 20 is fixed by a magnet to confirm the closure of a pair of car doors. Both car doors are closed by hands, and a cam 6 is engaged with a roller 15B. A moving contact point 16 is brought into contact with a conductive terminal 12 by this engagement and is conducted to a conductive terminal 13 via a conductor 17, and an instruction is sent to a normal action confirming relay, then the lighting section 21 of the reporting means 20 is lighted. The distance between the door end of the car door and a front column is measured when the lighting section 21 is lighted. If the distance is 10±1 mm, the car door is judged as normal, and door closure confirmation is completed. If the distance is not 10±1 mm, the whole gate switch 10 is moved, the procedures are repeated until the distance becomes within the prescribed size, and the reporting means 20 is removed after the door closure confirmation is completed.
